I’m so excited about a new feature you’ll see on my blog beginning in September. One of the best ways we can enhance the lives of our nursing home residents is by sharing our outstanding ideas.
As I search the Internet for possible topics for my blog, I often come across wonderful things that are happening at individual nursing homes. Many of these ideas have such a positive impact on the lives of residents. But sometimes I wonder if people in other parts of the country (or world) know about these great ideas. We need to spread the word!
Here’s how you can help:
- If you have something special going on at your nursing home, please send me an email with a brief description of your program. You can reach me at: nursinghomevolunteer@gmail.com
- I’ll review all submissions and choose one as “Idea of the Month.”
- After contacting you for additional details (per email), I’ll write a post about your nursing home’s unique program. (Guest posts will also be considered.)
- We will include your name in the post. I’ll also include a link to your facility’s home page so that people can contact them for more information.
I can hardly wait to read your emails!
Update on 9/30/17: despite the hundreds of people who visited my blog after I posted this message, I’ve not received any responses to this request. Please don’t be shy about tooting your own horn. I know you’re doing wonderful things out there!
