This month marks the 2nd anniversary of NursingHomeVolunteer.com. What an adventure this has become! I’ve met so many fascinating people, learned a ton about the world of long-term care, and I’ve grown personally through the inevitable ups and downs of blogging.
Today I want to thank you for joining me on this journey. Your encouragement, suggestions, and constructive feedback mean the world to me.
Most of all, I hope my blog helps make the time you spend volunteering or working in long-term care more enjoyable and meaningful. I also hope that together we’ve made progress toward my ultimate goal of enriching the lives of nursing home residents around the world.
With this in mind, I need to hear your ideas. What topics would you like to see featured on NursingHomeVolunteer.com as we enter our third year?
Many of the articles I’ve written over the past two years came as a direct result of questions or suggestions from my readers. These are some examples:
How To Adapt Activities For Memory Care
Keeping Vigil With A Dying Resident
How To Help Your Resident Keep That Smile
When Your Loved One Gets Upset During Visits
Little-Known Holiday Activity Guide
Now it’s your turn. How can I best help you in the upcoming year? Perhaps you have a burning question about nursing homes. Maybe you feel frustrated by some aspect of your nursing home experience. Or perhaps you want to share a phenomenal idea with the rest of the world.
All you need to do is add your thoughts to the comment section. Or, if you feel more comfortable sharing privately, please feel free to send me an email: NursingHomeVolunteer@gmail.com
I’m so excited to hear from you, and I look forward to another year of learning and growing along with my readers.
