I’m so excited to let you know that the nursing home where I used to volunteer will reopen its doors on Thursday. Nearly three years have passed since a fire destroyed most of the building.
We’re all eager to explore this new state-of-the-art senior care community. And it will be such a joy to hear life echoing through the hallways once again.
My plan was to dive right in as a volunteer and come up with lots of fresh adventures to share with my readers. Unfortunately, this is not to be—at least not yet.
You see, my cancer is rearing its ugly head once again. The past week was an especially rough one, and I need time to regroup.
I’ve also decided it’s best for me to take a short break from blogging. With upcoming tests, treatments, and a great need for rest, I feel like I’ll do better without the pressure of my blog hanging over my head.
I plan to take the remainder of October off, and I’ll see you back here in November. In the meantime, I hope you’ll continue to visit my site and catch up on many of the nearly 500 articles you may not have had time to read in the past. You’ll also find it helpful to make use of the search bar if you’re looking for a particular topic.
As always, I appreciate my readers so much. Your prayers, suggestions, and encouragement make an enormous difference in my life. I wish you all a fun Halloween, and I’ll meet you back here again soon!
