Today I’m excited to tell you about an excellent program that’s coming up at the end of this month (October 30-November 3). Whether you’re a volunteer, family caregiver, healthcare professional, or student, I highly recommend this great resource. It’s called a Caregiver Summit, and it features over 50 experts in the field of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
How does it work?
The entire event is online so you can attend from any location. You simply stream videos with internet access on your phone, tablet, or computer.
I’m thrilled to tell you that several of my favorite dementia educators will be featured at this summit:
Lori La Bey: Lori is the founder of Alzheimer’s Speaks, an advocacy group providing education and support for people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. She also hosts a renowned radio program about dementia that you can check out here.
Teepa Snow: Teepa provides consultation and training across the world on understanding and providing care for people who are living with dementia. She is the creator of many excellent resources for caregivers including Alzheimer’s Hands-On Care DVD: “The Art of Caring”.
Carol Bradley Bursack: A newspaper columnist and speaker, Carol also writes about caregiving and senior issues for several national websites. She is the author of the book Minding Our Elders: Caregivers Share Their Personal Stories.
Dr. Eleanor Feldmann Barbera: Eleanor is a speaker and consultant in the field of eldercare psychology. She’s a regular writer for McKnight’s LTC News and author of the book The Savvy Resident’s Guide.
How much does it cost?
Purchase the Summit for one low price of $97 and you’ll have access to the entire 5-day event for as long as you wish. You can also purchase individual days that will give you 48-hour access to that particular day’s videos and materials. Even better, when you purchase the Summit before October 30 you’ll save $18.
