Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve noticed a significant increase in the number of people who are reading a popular post from last year. It’s entitled, “Best Gift Ideas For Nursing Home Residents“, and I wrote it to prepare for Christmas.
This tells me that many of you are shopping for Christmas gifts for family and friends who live in senior care communities. I know from personal experience that this can be a challenge. After all, you want the gift to be enjoyable, meaningful, and it needs to fit into what is often a small living area.
To help you with your holiday shopping this year, I decided to take a new approach. I’m offering a series of gift guides based on several of my favorite places to shop.
Today’s featured gifts are all available on Amazon. Simply click on each image for more details.

Great suggestions! I find it hard to shop for my grandpa who has late stage Alzheimer’s disease. Even though he might not understand, I still want to get him a gift. Any ideas?

Hi Angie,
I’m glad you brought this up because I think a lot of people have the same question. I have an upcoming post about gifts for people with limited mobility, but I didn’t think of writing one specific to Alzheimer’s disease. I’ll start working on that!
