Are you looking for more fundraising ideas to support special projects or activities? Then be sure to check out these successful fundraisers from other long-term care facilities. (I’ve also included links so you can contact them directly for more information.)

Grandparents Day

This annual event at The Wesley Community in Saratoga Springs, New York, provides tons of fun for all generations. Grandparents Day includes face painting, mini-golf and other games, a magician, and balloon art. While admission is free, activities such as refreshment sales and a silent auction provide funds to support the senior living community.

Anniversary Club

Bethesda Health Group in St. Louis, Missouri invites its employees to support their mission through the Anniversary Club. By donating at least $5 per pay period (that’s $130 per year), an employee gets a chance at a drawing for an extra free day of vacation time.

Chef Prepared Lunch

At the Brothers of Mercy Wellness Community in Clarence, New York, your business or a group of friends can enjoy a delicious chef-prepared meal. Reservations are available on Wednesdays over the noon hour. Proceeds support the Brothers of Mercy’s wide range of elder services.

Photo With A DeLorean

A few years ago, an employee at Maplewood Nursing Home in Westmoreland, New Hampshire, helped plan a special event to raise money for Parkinson’s disease research. She was able to procure a visit from one of the original DeLorean cars featured in the filming of “Back to the Future” films. For a monetary donation, attendees had their picture taken with the famous vehicle.

Perennial Soup Sale

Every year during the winter months, Marion Hall in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania hosts a weekly soup sale. Orders are placed in advanced, and soups are sold by the quart. Three delicious soups are featured each week. For example, one week’s menu includes chicken tortilla, chili, and broccoli cheese soups.
